Try mixing unexpected colors together. I knocked together a Dress Barn turquoise corduroy blazer to bring out my purple plaid Sunnyleigh ruffled shirt and trumpet skirt.

Today I wore a graphic houndstooth black and white zipped jacket, covering a ribbed black Alfani dress, over black patterned tights with black flat riding boots. I was feeling pretty good about my look until i got to work and saw that several coworkers woke up with same fashion inspiration. I played “Who wore it best?” all day, and of course, I won – at least in my own mind.

Wearing cool neutrals can be just as fun as wearing hot colors. I knocked my vintage (if you can call a 1996 Target dress vintage), beige and white polka dot dress with a beige and chocolate shoe; but I immediately imagined many more combinations. How would you knock your neutral?

KNOCKERS
Today was my “Saturday Run Around” outfit. I’m wearing black Jordache ( yes, I said Jordache) jeans I picked up on whim from WAL-MART.
I topped my bottoms with a black sleeveless Target t-shirt (the shoulders have a lacy insert), a yellow and white polka dot sweater and ankle strap ballet slippers from Nordstrom’s Rack.
VERDICT: My thrift store sweater received many compliments!
