Today was my “Saturday Run Around” outfit. I’m wearing black Jordache ( yes, I said Jordache) jeans I picked up on whim from WAL-MART.
I topped my bottoms with a black sleeveless Target t-shirt (the shoulders have a lacy insert), a yellow and white polka dot sweater and ankle strap ballet slippers from Nordstrom’s Rack.
VERDICT: My thrift store sweater received many compliments!

The 1st day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere is March 20, 2014!
Spring is slowly peeping through the last dark days of Winter, and so am I.
Today I decided to KNOCK my dark chocolate Jones New York business suit with a burst of cheerful yellow ruffled sleeveless 21Forever blouse; accompanied with chocolate patterned hose and my chocolate BCBG Girl heels.

In the grand old American tradition of cultural appropriation in the name of fashion (and the fear of being pinched), I knocked together a “cullaith éadaigh” (suit of clothing) in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day.
Did you know that green is the national color of Ireland? And that wearing the color green to avoid being pinched is an American only tradition? (Thanks Wikipedia) Americans – we like to think of inventive ways to touch each other inappropriately.
